Splash Mountain:

This ride is one of the most recognized and most popular rides not only in Frontierland but also in the Magic Kingdom. Splash Mountain is a fast paced ride that takes riders barreling down 5 stories into a watery lagoon. Although this may not be a very tall or fast ride, it is still exhilarating for all those who ride it. Also, be prepared to get wet. The ride does live up to its name: Splash Mountain.

Big Thunder Mountain:

Climb aboard this run-a-way mine train and hang on! Of coarse it’s not really that intense but it’s a fun ride for all. Big Thunder Mountain was built on 2 ½ acres of land that is in the center of the Frontier Land. There’s not a big drop on this one like Splash Mountain, but there are plenty twists and sharp curves. Also, there is lots of realistic scenery that puts you right back in time with the old pioneers of the Klondike gold rush. On this ride you can see waterfalls and even an old ghost town called Tumbleweed.

Tom Sawyer Island:

This Beautiful island oasis is nestled in between Frontierland and Liberty Square. Children especially love this island because this is a chance for them to spread out and burn some built up energy from waiting in lines. There are many things to do on the island. The children can explore the tunnels and walkways that span the island. The main way to enter the island is by raft, but there is a somewhat hidden bridge. This is a place to relax and let the kids run around and have fun while parents take a seat at Aunt Polly’s dockside Inn.

Frontierland Shooting Arcade:

This classic style shooting range is equipped with a bank, hotel, cemetery, and even a jail. You get to shoot 97 targets and each one of them has a different reaction when you shoot them. Each play is 25 cents but they only charge to prevent people from over playing and hogging the game. This makes it more likely that you will get your turn to shoot something.

Goofy´s Country Character Jamboree:

Formerly known as the Diamond Horseshoe Saloon. This theater has been many things and now it has changed into a grand western show that brings all of your Disney favorites into a pioneer setting. This 20 minute show features stars like Woody, Jessie, Chip & Dale and the G himself. Goofy sings and dances to country music and tunes like ‘cotton eyed Joe!’ You and the whole family will have a rootin’ tootin’ time! Definitely not a place to relax this is a place to get down and do some dancing. Yee-Haw! Partners lets do some square dancing to some good old songs from the heartland! This is a new ride that is set to open July 1st of 2007 so be sure to get in line at least 15 minutes before show time so you can get a good spot to see the show.

Country Bear Jamboree:

Located in Grizzle Hall, this is a 15-minute show that will keep you laughing all day. The theme is a backwoods country western show ran by the bears! This is not a Winnie the Pooh show, it’s a hip-pity hop-pity country show. There are a number of things that can happen at anytime when you’re dealing with country bears!

Tips

  • When watching the parade, watch it near Splash Mountain. This way you can quickly ride it after.
